She's Bristol Palin, Kayleigh...the daughter of U.S. politician Sarah Palin who is a right-wing, conservative supporter of "family values" and doesn't want abortion rights or same-sex marriage rights. Sarah Palin used to be the governor of Alaska, but she quit the job. Some think she is gearing up to run for president after her previous, unsuccessful vice presidential bid. (Shudder)

The irony is that Sarah Palin, with all her touting of "family values," had a daughter, Bristol, who got pregnant as an unmarried teenager...and this hit the news while Sarah was running for vice president. The other irony is that Sarah Palin said how proud she was that her daughter was choosing to keep the baby, while Sarah Palin wants to take away that choice from other girls and women.

Bristol Palin is now dancing on Dances with the Stars and is getting a lot of flack and jokes about her.

And honestly, thats horse****.

I don't particularly like her mothers policies, and I've certainly made fun of sarah palin. But she's a public figure, and an adult, who has chosen to be in the public eye.

When people make fun of this 18 year old who's really just trying to make the best of the situation, it drives me nuts. Partisanship gets crazy in this country, but theres something to be said for class. And those who take pot shots lack refinement, good breeding, and education. She's had the guts to take political stands not in line with her mother, so I think if we're going to take shots, there are better candidates (no pun intended). Also I think she's hot.

I've only heard of Sarah Palin because a photo in the funny photo thread said Parah Salin :) But yeah, irony.

the ONLY reason anyone even remotely gives a crap about Bristol Palin in the public eye is directly related to her mother. if she doesn't like that she should have stayed in Alaska. she's not a 'star' and the ONLY reason she's on the show is because it will draw ratings because she's Sarah Palin's daughter. nothing of her own merit got her there.

And the only reason Sarah Palin is a "star" is because McCain was an idiot when he picked his VP

Whats merit? Almost all famous people are useless.
