If so, you've been lying about being Canadian all this time! I like this picture of you though, looks like an interrupted make-out session:

Inside, they're thinking "dirty slut. slut. whore. nasty ho. disease havin' skank."

Haters gonna hate.

Nah, her comment was in a joking way.

The grudging comments are the ones held back. You'll see girls comment on other girls about how pretty they are when in reality, they're half-ass ugly. The girls know it. But it makes them feel good that they can make someone else feel good while still holding the cards. Nothing is at stake. They come out as a nice girl and it makes them look better.
But they can't throw those cards away when a real hottie comes along, so they'll just ignore it and pretend like they never saw the hottie so they can maintain face to the public... meanwhile they're looking for ways to call the girl a slut as to take the hotness down a notch with a chance of venereal diseases. lol...
It's not a pretty theory, but in my 29 years of existence around women (growing up in a house of 5 of them), I'm pretty confident it's not even a character flaw, but simply a deep-rooted survival mechanism or some shit.

I don't even think they mean to do it. But they do. All the time.

I think everything you've said is completely true, but especially the part in bold. I can't begin to count the number of times I'll crawl through FB, see some fugly girl and 10 comments on the pic all along the lines of "ooh, so pretty". But not one shows up when a sexy babe has a new pic up.

It's like a self-defense mechanism for the insecure.

It's sadly true... well it's pretty known really, it didn't need a survey on the boards.

As for me, the reason why I don't reply to "sexeh babes" photos is that I never reply on someone's sexehness.
And never really understood posting a pic of one's self, the same day that person joins. I wouldn't think anyone would care about some anonymous person's picture, even if they're the most beautiful creature on the planet. So that's another reason.
Absurd, I say (or repeat).

I took down my pictures. I kinda started out with a loose plan on keeping the fact that I was female hidden. Me posting pictures was stupid and didn't help in that plan. Plus, this is a music forum. What I look like isn't going to give merit to anything I say about music.

NumberNineDream 03-26-2010 03:11 PM

So your plan lasted less than one day?

Mandelorean 03-26-2010 03:23 PM

Well, I realized that I type like a female. Before I posted the pictures it was already out of the bag. Then I used bad judgment and posted pictures. What is the point of a female posting pictures on here unless they want comments on them...which I didn't. Like I said...just a lapse of judgment on my part.

NumberNineDream 03-26-2010 03:46 PM

But isn't your avatar, a pic of you?

Indeed. I think it's part of an underhanded competitive nature that tries to sabotage the odds and mentally level the playing field when they feel like they're no longer the hottest queen in heat.

It's about ruining someone's credibility, or just not contributing to it, as an attempt gain an edge that their own physical features are no longer contributing to adequately.
