My brother did Salvia.

He was trying to walk up the wall, and thought he was on The Price Is Right.

Thats actually really common, people thinking they are on game shows. I know two people that also thought like that.

Salvia makes you realize how complex the mind really is...one hit of a strange chemical COMPLETELY alters perception to the extent that you cant even communicate with the real world.

You tend to get old vehicles at a vintage vehicle festival.

It was a 1950s fire engine

I wouldn't complain. You're what? 12? Try being that height at 17 and being told by the doctor the most you're going to get is another inch if you're lucky.

Alfred 10-04-2008 09:40 PM

I'm 14 in three months...

and that sucks.

Kirby 10-04-2008 10:13 PM

I'm seventeen and I'm 5'10'' or 5'11'' :)

You never know. I was 6' tall when I was 14 and that's as tall as I ever got. It's weird being one of the tall kids when you're growing up and then turning out to be kind of an average height adult.

jackhammer 10-06-2008 01:36 PM

That means I'm bloody tiny then :(

they have been for a while

and what does climate change have to do with anything?

sweet_nothing 10-07-2008 05:14 PM

It was a joke, because nike's used to be uncool by hipsters and now it's the opposite.

simplephysics 10-07-2008 05:16 PM

Climate change is hip. Rain clouds are not.

Farfisa 10-08-2008 12:31 PM

I thought hipsters wore vans... That's why I stopped wearing them.

In the 1990s, the term became a blanket description for middle class young people associated with alternative culture, particularly alternative music, independent rock, independent film and a lifestyle revolving around thrift store shopping, eating organic, locally grown, vegetarian, and/or vegan food, drinking local or brewing beer, listening to public radio, riding bicycles, and magazines like Vice and Clash and website Pitchfork Media.[5]

Robert Lanham's satirical The Hipster Handbook described hipsters as young people with "...mop-top haircuts, swinging retro pocketbooks, talking on cell phones, smoking European cigarettes, ... strutting in platform shoes with a biography of Che Guevara sticking out of their bags."[6]

Hipsters are considered apathetic, pretentious, and self-entitled by other, often marginalized sectors of society they live amongst, including previous generations of bohemian and/or "counter-culture" artists and thinkers as well as poor neighborhoods of color.
