In the UK burberry is the uniform of the aforementioned chav, i.e no positive connotations whatsoever. Got no beef with plaid per se, just Burberry

skeletorrz 09-18-2008 06:35 PM

I'm from So. Cal, and I really liked what I saw, so I went with the Burberrys. So you guys can just keep your condescending comments to yourselves!

Molecules 09-18-2008 06:49 PM

oh right. Burberrys. i've got thick-rimmed glasses but they're cheap as **** and i'm always half-expecting to be called a pretentious arse

sleepy jack 09-18-2008 06:59 PM

Pretentious arse.

skeletorrz 09-18-2008 07:04 PM

yeah i didn't like that they were so expensive. I wasn't even that familiar with Burberry when I bought them.

Don't be making me feel like I've done something bad, wise-ass ;)

sleepy jack 09-18-2008 08:16 PM

Cobe Kai 09-18-2008 08:32 PM

Thick rimmed glasses, that are cheap, are a lot more practical than thinner rimmed ones.

Mine cost me £10 and they've lasted longer than ANY other pair of glasses I've had, and that's including a £120 pair of Armani glasses.

So don't feel bad man. You're just clever-er.

Please, Burberry has moved past that now. Check the website and tell me you wouldn't wear some of their stuff.

I thought English humor was supposed to be dry and sophisticated, not senseless and ignorant.

Situations like these imply where "f*ck off" should apply.

right-track 09-22-2008 02:07 PM
