Hey I'm Nick. I'm 16 and I love music, in fact so much that I do nothing but play guitar. If it weren't for music, I wouldn't know what I'd do. I'm into Rock, Metal, Alternative Rock, Punk, Grunge, Blues, Jazz, and basically anything besides Pop and Rap (Sometimes I can take rap, just depends on the band. One band who I like that raps is Linkin Park, but they aren't just rap.) I have been playing for almost one and a half years, but I've practiced almost everyday that I'm to the point where nothing isn't too challenging for me. For example, I've already got sweep picking and staccatoes under my belt when I improv. I thought I'd make this intro thing and get to know all of you guys, and I hope this site has a nice community! what metal and punk bands do you like

Well my favorite metal bands are Avenged Sevenfold and slipknot but for punk one of my favorites are Rancid. Green Day wouldn't really fit into true punk though, but their old stuff is awesome. You?

i like iskald, alcest, obsequiae, myrkur, sannhet, panopticon.. to name a few. thats mostly black metal though. i do enjoy many more genres but those bands are most of what i've been listening to the past couple of weeks.

as for punk some of my favourites are the misfits, bad religion, minutemen, minor threat, crass.
