Default Glad to be here!

Hi!Guess I should introduce myself.I'm a 14 year old who loves music.I like every genre of music whether it be Jazz,Pop,Rock,Hip Hop,Funk etc.
I can play the drums and hope to have a career in the music industry when I get older, and I rap, even though I don't think I'm that good yet.

So yeah glad to be here with fellow music fans

You sound a lot like me (except I can't rap. I can beat box fairly well though). What bands you into?

Also, the music industry is a joke.

Oh, and Welcome!

I'll check that dictionary, but in the meantime I'm impressed - as is everyone else in the world - by your eloquence, obvious accomplishments and success, and the evidence of your blazingly high intelligence.

Let's talk about the important topic in the room: how much more metal do you listen to than everything else? Now there's no wrong answer to this question, so long as it is at least 10x more metal than all other genres combined.

Public Enemy- Yes!
Megadeth- Somewhat yes
Green Day- Not a big fan; I guess Dookie and Smoothed Out Slappy Hours are okay. Warning and Insomniac are decent too. Other stuff doesn't hit me right.
The Blackbyrds- Never heard of 'em. Will look into.
Barry White's Love unlimited Orchestra- ^^
Metallica- Yes!
Nirvana- Yes!
The Beatles- Yes!
Motley Crue- Eh.
Rush- Yes!
Pink Floyd- Somewhat yes. Meddle and Wish You Were Here are top notch. The other stuff I like but only when I'm in the mood for it.
Led Zepplin- Yes!
Wu Tang Clan- Yes!
Bad Religion- Yes!
Primus- Yes!
Hall and Oates- Haven't heard a whole lot of them, but yes!
Dio- Again, haven't heard much, but yes!
Prince- Somewhat yes. I don't hate Prince, but I can't say I'm a big fan either.
Bob Dylan- Yes!
Michael Jackson- Yes!
Grover Washington Jr.- Never heard.
Ella Fitzgerald- Yes!
MF DOOM- YES!
Jimi Hendrix- Yes!

That's just a little bit of bands I like.
I kinda reflected what I like out of those too. Your taste is your taste though, I'm just showing you what I'm interested in of those.

That said, what album would you suggest of Hall and Oates?

And if you're at all interested in my tastes (for whatever reason) check out the handy links in my signature. My rateyourmusic page is pretty much fully cataloged at this point with my listened albums, though I'm sure I'm missing a few here and there. The one "music taste" link shows a more general view.

Otherwise, I like your tastes.

Edit: I like RATM and Earl Sweatshirt too. Still need to listen to last year's album though, I've been meaning to.

For Hall and Oates I'd suggest the The Very Best of Daryl Hall & John Oates album. As the name suggests it has the best songs by them imo.

Not too fond of greatest hits albums generally, but I guess it's a good starting point regardless. I'll look into it, thanks.
