Default Greetings

Let me get the ASL out of the way - 49, M, northeastern USA.

I'm a lifelong music lover who enjoys a variety of genres - classical, jazz, new age, rock, folk, world (especially celtic, and especially celtic rock). among others. I enjoy internet forums suited to my interests, and while I already belong to such for movies, classical music and fitness, I haven't yet given a general music forum a go. So here I am.

As a side note, I'm one of those who probably has more recordings than any one person should own. In the interests of space, I've entered the digital music arena, and frequently hang out on bandcamp to find the latest new music on which to leave my earprints. So, if anyone has any suggestions, feel free to share.

Welcome to MB.
You'll do just fine here with those genres.
What are some of your favourite artists?
If you need recommendations, just ask in the respective sub-forums if it's about a specific genre, or in the main recommendation thread in the 'general music' section.

Hmm favorite artists... Off the top of my head, and in no particular order. Robbie Fulks, Guy Forsyth, Barleyjuice, Jane Monheit, B. B. King, Lambchop, The Brothers Cazimero, Diana Krall, The Town Pants, Cheryl Wheeler, Jonathan Coulton, Rodrigo y Gabriela, Enter the Haggis, Tom Waits.

Classically speaking, been listening to a fair amount of Weiss' guitar music (Michel Cardin) lately.
