Hi everyone
Hi everyone, I'm from Adelaide, Australia and I'm a 45 year old guitarist. My work is roughly half performance and half teaching. I have always been pathologically obsessed with music - I thought I'd start to get over it with age but I seem to be more obsessed every year. I got my fist LP when I was 4 and was first able to say what I wanted for my birthday. After browsing this forum it seems there are many in the same boat. I've already benefited from some recommendations from this forum's regular users, thanks a heap! My main area of expertise is flamenco and to a lesser extent guitar in general.
Music I like at the moment: Bands: Miranda sex garden, Sonic youth, Enslaved, Messhugah, Os mutantes, Dr Seuss's Signature, Primus Singers (Flamenco): Jesus Mendez, Terremoto, La Macanita Guitarists (Flamenco): Diego del Morao, Parrilla de Jerez, Paco de Lucia Guitarists (Classical): Pavel Steidl, Xue Fei Yang Guitarists (Jazz): Wes Montgomery, Jim Hall Other: Indian classical music (Zakir Hussein etc), some trip hoppy hip hop (tribe called quest, madvillain etc), classical music (Prokofiev, Beethoven, Schostokovich), some older funk/soul, some newer funk/soul etc. Really looking forward to spending some time here, Cheers, Alo. |

Welcome to MusicBanter!
I like Flamenco a bit too, I saw Paco Peña Flamenco Dance Company once, that was a great concert. And I also had a chance to see John Williams (the classical guitar player) in concert as well.
