New guy
Hi everyone - joined a few days ago...
I'm 59, male, living in the Great White North. Parents gave me a record player and the Beatles' "Long Tall Sally" album in '64 and I've been enjoying / discovering all genres since. My collection exploded in the 70s with punk/alternative but I also like classic rock, pop, international stuff and even movie soundtracks. Sometimes, though, I'll discover bands/music well after the fact. Oh, and I have 2 girls under 10 so I've been listening to some stuff I never thought I would. Looking forward to discovering more. Welcome! I'm about to turn 55 and have a couple of kids myself. 31 and 26.
Give this place some time. There's a clique of very much younger heathens who rule the roost. An in-crowd for sure. Once you survive that you'll be cool.
