Hi everyone! I'm 23 years old girl from Finland. Music has always been a part of my life. I have been in music school since I was five years old. When I was 8 I chose kantele(traditional Finnish instrument) as my main instrument. One of my favorite bands/singers/mucisians are owl city, Laura Pausini, Celine Dion, Martti Pokela, Iida Elina. Usually I listen all genres of music. To me the most important thing is melody of the song and lyrics. Now I'm studying politics in the university but I'm considering to change school and becoming music teacher/musician instead. Here is a video of one of my favorite kantele players Iida Elina playing Michael Jackson's Billy Jean in case you haven't heard the sound of this instrument yet ^^ Iida Elina is very talented. I hope to become as good as her someday. Usually people play Finnish folk music or classical music with Kantele though.
