Default Hello there!

Howdy! I'm a music obsessive looking for other music obsessives with which to obsess about music. Signs pointed me here, so here I am.

I listen to a ridiculous amount of music from all across the board. Some personal favorites: Pavement, Aphex Twin, Kraftwerk, LCD Soundsystem, Stereolab, Sufjan Stevens, Yo La Tengo, Tycho, Grimes, The American Analog Set, Panda Bear, Neu!, Thelonious Monk, The Philistines Jr., Eluvium, Boards of Canada, Godspeed You! Black Emperor, St. Vincent, Frank Zappa, Primus, Ween, Grandaddy, Pink Floyd, The National, The Replacements, Robyn, Neutral Milk Hotel, Swans, Holy Ghost!, Braids, Built to Spill, Sleater-Kinney, The Breeders, Doves, Steve Hauschildt, Stars, Violent Femmes, Archers of Loaf, Arcade Fire, Björk, Excepter, Marissa Nadler, Chelsea Wolfe, Mogwai, The Mountain Goats, The Unicorns, Nick Drake, My Bloody Valentine, and way, way too many more to count.

Recently I've been on an electronic kick, spinning the new Aphex Twin, Inventions, Panda Bear, Noveller, Lnrdcroy, and Ghost Culture albums, in addition to the new compilation from Ghostly International, Ghostly Swim 2.

Favorite labels: Matador, Warp, 1080p, Sub Pop, DFA, Ghostly International, Polyvinyl, Domino, Arbutus, Secretly Canadian, Asthmatic Kitty, and 4AD, among others.

Other stuff: I'm 24, I buy vinyl, I love going to concerts, I live in the Seattle, Washington area, and I've probably made the longest introduction post ever, so I'll stop now. Hi!

This man speaks the truth. The Sonics and The Fabulous Wailers alone make Washington State a musical mecca.
