Default My Introduction

Hello. So I am very new to these forums and I am pretty excited to see what new music you can get me into.

I don't consider myself good at introductions and I am pretty vague in how I describe myself. But I am here for everything music.

So first off my name is Justin. (Duh). I am aged 17 and I live in the UK, specifically Leeds. I recently just started going to college and met new friends. So far it is a pretty awesome time in my life aside from coursework. Meeting new friends in college with the same interests as me is really awesome. Bare in mind I am doing a games design course but nearly everyone in there has an awesome taste in music. I feel I could branch out more on here as well.

On to the music. As we speak I love rock and rap music. Not combined though. Although my taste in rap music is pretty damn awful I am here to see if I can change that. I only listen to Eminem and Tech N9ne. While they are amazing rap artists I find it hard to figure out who I should be listening to. Anyway I absolutely love rock music. But I recently noticed that there is just too much good music and I don't know who and what albums I should be listening to.

Anyway I am ranting on but to end I would like to say that in general I am a pretty open-minded person when it comes to music. One minute I might listen to some Nicki Minaj and the next I might listen to Cannibal Corpse. I am open to anything and I think joining these forums might broaden my mind even more. I won't give a list of favorite artists and bands because I could be here forever.

Anyway thanks for reading and see you on the forums somewhere.

Thanks people for the warm welcome.

In reply to Pet_Sounds, I would have to say that currently I have just got into Led Zeppelin and they are my favorite band I have ever listened to. Other awesome bands and artists I like are Guns N' Roses, Thousand Foot Krutch, FM Static, Pantera, Hollywood Undead, Halestorm, Rainbow, Weird Al Yankovic, Dream Theater, Children of Bodom, tobyMac, Avril Lavigne, Queens of the Stone Age, DragonForce, Alter Bridge, Mastodon, Wintersun, Amaranthe, Yelawolf, Otherwise and Iggy Azalea.

Seams like a bit of a strange selection but there we have it.

Hi Justin, welcome to MB!! Really awesome artist/band picks you got going on. Thousand Foot Krutch, DragonForce, and Iggy Azalea are some people that I really enjoy. I'm also open to any kind of music as well so I'd be willing to take a look at some other artists you like and enjoy. But anyway, I hope you love it here.

Awesome dude. Well I am currently in a sort of prog rock phase after listening to Dream Theater and Rainbow. If you have any good recommendations for amazing prog rock albums that would be cool.

Also I see you like Iggy as well. For some reason I always go for rap artists with the wackiest rhyming style. But because of that my rap album catalog is pretty low. There is not many I can find that rap like that. Eminem is a obvious selection. And also Tech N9ne and Nicki Minaj. I recently just listened to a album called Acid Rap by Chance The Rapper. He has got an awesome rapping style that sort of reminds me of Nicki but way more technical in his lyrics.

Sorry for ranting. I get caught in the moment and just keep typing. If you know any rap artists that I should be listening to please do share.
