Default Well, yeah...

Where should I begin...?

My love, passion, obsession, appreciation...however, or whatever way I could spin it, well it began when I was pretty young living along the border of Oregon and Idaho. My father (an *******, long story, really...) would play Ted Nugent, Jimmy Hendrix, Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers, Thin Lizzy, Nazareth, ACDC, at the time very early Metallica, and many other great rock n roll or metal groups, even some country or gospel now and then...and my interest in music was sprung to life when I was about four from the records my father played. I'd go wild in the living room, doing air guitar to Jimmy Hendrix and Ted Nugent. I can be honest and say that these days I've not listened to a lot of most of the groups I've mentioned already, but my appreciation for them is still very much alive. Those bands are responsible for music being pretty much the biggest part of my life, aside from my lovely fiance of course...

These days I listen to a lot of Deftones, Chevelle, Helmet, Islander, Thirty Seconds To Mars, Filter, Nine Inch Nails, Volbeat, Local H, Bush, Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, Machine Head, Soilwork, In Flames, Crosses (one of the many side projects of Deftones singer Chino Moreno...) TOOL, A Perfect Circle, Thousand Foot Krutch, Black Map, The Exies, Failure, Fuel, Gemini Syndrome, Five Finger Death Punch, Godsmack, Katatonia...I could keep this list going for a while.

I still have a healthy appreciation for many of the 80's greats as well. Those bands would likely be an easy guess for the community here. Obviously I like music from the 70's as well, even the 60's if I decided to name any; Johnny Cash, anyone? So, I'm 27. Still young and still enjoying how my taste in music keeps changing.

Jumping around here and this intro will likely, or might not confuse the community here. I frequently attend concerts for many of the bands I listed early in this post. I absolutely love going to concerts and enjoying live music. I've always been able to approach my music heroes and just chat with them like I've known them for years. I've always known I belonged in the world of music beyond just listening to it, just never found a way to get my foot in the door.

Anyway. Not really sure what to say here beyond what I have already. I like watching movies, reading, being with family, friends and so forth. I do a lot of writing, mostly lyrics. Hm....? Yeah, I'm out of things to say here. I will probably remember more to say later on!

So. Here's to meeting the lot of you here. Long live music!

Haha, no I am not. It is more a little joke on the whole idea of Nihilism.
