Hey, MusicBanter!
Hey, I'm Shawn I'm a 20 year old male. From my avatar you can probably tell I'm a huge Hank Williams fan, he's my favorite musician of all time. I'm an avid music listener, reader, movie watcher, and sports watcher. I'm currently unemployed although looking for a job, and to start to college. Enough about my personal life though, here's a look into my taste in music.
Some of the bands/musicians I really like; Country/Folk/Blues: Hank Williams, Johnny Cash, Marty Robbins, Ernest Tubb, Lucky Tubb, Waylon Jennings, Drive-By Truckers, Wayne Hancock, George Jones, The Pine Box Boys, Leadbelly, Gram Parsons, Woody Guthrie, Guy Clark, Townes Van Zandt, Scott H. Biram, Those Poor Bastards, .357 String Band, Muddy Waters. Doom Metal/Stoner/Sludge: Black Sabbath, Saint Vitus, Pentagram, Orchid, Pallbearer, Melvins, Electric Wizard, Sleep, Witchfinder General, Trouble, Candlemass, Pale Divine, Pagan Altar, Warning, Buzzov*en, Dystopia, Eyehategod, Grief, Noothgrush, Sea of Deprivation, Iron Monkey, Leechmilk, Kyuss, Sleep. Black Metal: Gris, Durdkh, Darkthrone, Panopticon, Weakling, Wodensthrone, Mayhem, Fen, Lyrinx, The Ruins of Beverast, Winterfylleth, Cobalt, Walknut, Emperor, Lurker of Challice, Wolves in the Throne Room, Misc: Black Flag, Flipper, Circle Jerks, Assuck, Terrorizer, Repulsion, Amebix, Asphyx, Autopsy, Ahab, Big L, Wu Tang Clan, Big Pun, Deltron 3030, Company Flow, Y Society, Nas, Mobb Deep, Panacea, Damu The Fudgemunk, Nirvana, Dinosaur Jr, The Pixies, Meat Puppets, Swans, Wire, Blues Creation, Wicked Lady, Television, The Velvet Underground, The Cramps.... Many many many more, but I feel like this represents my listening fairly well for now. Anymore questions, feel free to ask! |

Thanks for the welcomes everyone!
As for movies I have a horrible time listing them and narrowing it down to only three. Let me throw some names around. The Godfather I The Godfather II Part II is probably my favorite; But both of the first two have always blown me away since I first watched them. III isn't awful, but simply can't stand up to the first 2. Psycho I never cared at all for horror movies until I watched this movie. It changed everything for me. I'm not sure why, but it did. Just a great movie. The acting was amazing unlike many horror films I'd seen previously, Hitchcock is simply a genius for me. A favorite for sure. Taxi Driver Raging Bull Goodfellas Casino If you can't tell I like the Scorsese/De Niro combination. A lot. So very cliche like I said. haha. |

Thanks for the welcome.
Also, I forgot to clear this up in my original post. My username comes from a song off of the first Gris album, black metal band, and means "The scar of a healed wound." |
