Talking What it is

Nice to meet you all. I like to talk music, women, good food you know the routine. All these years have gone by but now thx to the internet access to much more is available. And because of that I see the possibility of making something of a career in music whether that be performing or writing/composing. Aw I want to do it all! I mean you don't have to move to LA or NYC or Nashville anymore.
I see Amazon.com has a big section for self publishing your book and for voice over. I don't recall seeing anything about song writing collaboration. Does anyone know? Maybe there's some leads here.

Music has always moved me powerfully and few there are I'm sure who don't feel the same. I have something of a studio at home with all the instruments and gear. I'm right now learning Cubase so the actual playing is getting a rest.

I've never played in much of any band ( and I want to so bad I have some poetry down on the pain of endlessly chasing dreams) except for a short time so as Michael Jordan says if you hit an obstacle find a way around it. When I do something I want it to be good not average. Maybe that's part of my situation. I play guitar well enough and some keys and drums. Love those drums! I'm getting into Midi and soft synths.

What I seem to be good at if anything is words even in grade school but I really want to do the music. Maybe I'll post some of my stuff here. I'll make a post in the writing forum. If you're interested you will see more of what I'm into. Hope I can contribute to the group enthusiasm.
