Yellow!
Wassup everybody
I'm here to hopefully find more music that I like. Years ago I used to turn the radio on or listen to CD's as soon as I got out of bed. When I moved to Australia I was 9 (I think) my mum bought a white jeep and we used to drive around listening to her rap tape and it had all the classics from Dre and Snoop. In primary school my friends listened to rap so I grew up with it and fell in love with Tupac. I'm originally from Bosnia so I grew up listening to that music and it has a place in my heart although the only Bosnian/Yugoslavian music I listen to is a rock band from the 70's called Bjelo Dugme (White Button) and Dino Merlin. I lived in Germany for a few years in the 90's and so I also grew up with 90's pop music and I love it to this day. I've always liked all kinds of music and I can pretty much find something I like in every song. In the last year I've been listening to a community station here in perth while I'm driving, 92.1 RTR fm and they play pretty much everything. I've probably heard every genre and sub genre there is. I like to write down the names of the songs and look them up when I get home. So recently I was thinking of joining a music forum so I can ask questions and find out more about music I might like. I listen to pretty much everything but I don't like a lot of the rap music I would have liked before. Now it has to have more substance and I want to learn something about the person talking, tell me a story or sometimes to just make me feel good and it's important to be honest about the kind of music that makes you feel good. Some of the music I like and listen to just at the top of my head are: 90's Progressive metal like Dream Theater Dubstep the good old stuff from N-Type and Skream Other electronic music with good rhythm like dance and garage World music, French and Indian Boney-M And of course good rap like the whole Black Hippy crew, Kid Cudi, Lupe Fiasco, Childish Gambino and old school Wu Tang |
