Default Galt54 introduces himself

Hello, everybody!

I have been posting on Music Banter for roughly one week. But I have not got around to introducing myself until now.

I am a Swedish male, 59 years old and I live in an apartment with my wife in a suburb of Stockholm. My wife is my "Asian blossom". She is an immigrant to Sweden from Vietnam.

My passions in life are: pop and rock music, the philosophy called Objectivism, reading non-fiction and last but not least: the spanking fetish (I am kinky and loving it - so sue me!).

I was born in Stockholm in 1954, but I was blessed with the privilege of growing up in the U.S.A. I will be eternally grateful to my parents for their decision to move to America when I was five years old. It would have been horrible if I had been obliged to grow up in this cesspool which is the modern Swedish welfare state.

Unfortunately for me, I was sent back to Sweden by my parents when I was sixteen years old. Finding myself smack in the middle of the nihilistic Swedish culture during the height of the years of the mass-murderers/"liberators"-loving New Left´s domination of the Swedish culture made me feel so awful that almost exactly two years after my return to Sweden I was committed to a mental hospital with a dagnosis of schizophrenia. I hate Sweden - my own country! My country drove insane. So of course I loathe and despise it! The fact that I hate this country which I had the misfortune to be born in and to return to is evidence of mental health. I am rational and independent.

I recovered from my psychosis after a year and a half down in the digs. Five years after my return to reality I discovered the wonderful philosophy of reason called Objectivism. Objectivism helped me to rebuild my life and achieve happiness. I "repaid" Objectivism by becoming one of the handful of pioneers who injected Objectivism into the Swedish culture.

I am in possession of a weird combination of attributes: I am an Objectivist, I am kinky, I am a recovered psychotic, I am a factory worker and I am a member of the board of a joint stock corporation (I am on the board of a tiny company which is developing a new technology for purifying water. The reason I am on the board is that I am one of the largest stockholders in this small company.). I am probably the one and only Objectivist on the face of this earth who is also a recovered psychotic.

You probably want to know something about my relationship to pop and rock music. In order to not repeat myself I will refer you to the thread which I started in the General Music section titled "My tastes in music - my esthetics of music".

Welcome to MB. Definitely my first time hearing the term recovered psychotic but if you are happy in life that is all that matters.

Welcome to the forum! (even though I've already chatted with you)

I will be sure to avoid Sweden if I ever get a chance to go to Europe.

Objectivism eh? Wasn't Ayn Rand the brains behind that movement? She was nuts, she preached rationality but was far from rational in her dealings with her fellow species. She seemed deeply unhappy too, full of bitterness, and I have no faith in a philosophy that cannot even make the person who understands it best - it's maker - happy, but hey, if it works for you then good on you.
