Heroes in a half shell! TURTLE POWER!
O.K, this has nothing to do with Turtles, but every post title on this thread is [unsurprisingly, given the topic] some variation of "hello", so, you know, I thought I'd jazz it up a little.
[Much kudos if you comment continuing the song, however. ] So, yes, greetings, I am in fact new here, I am not in fact a mutated reptile [except for when I wake up first thing in the morning] and I love music, though I guess that that pretty much goes without saying. If you'll forgive the cliche, I really do listen to pretty much everything, although I tend to prefer stuff with guitars [rock, post-hardcore, metal-core, metal, indie, pop-punk etc]. Still, it's boring to listen to 9,000 songs in a row that sound the same - my idea of a good playlist is one which sounds slightly psychotic, like it's been smushed together by at least 20 different people [who all intensely dislike each other]. I also write my own music, however, having read the forum rules, I'm guessing that posting any wouldn't be looked upon too favourably, so if you're interested, then obviously I'll link you up, if you'd rather just sip tea and perfect your 80s cartoon character costumes, then by all means, do that instead. Other things I enjoy are writing bad fiction, drawing mediocre drawings, taking unexceptional photographs, and being chronically self-deprecating [I'm British. It's a national hazard.] I live in a small city, earn money by singing in a covers band, and read and sleep a lot. Things that are awesome: Pizza Ice cream Huskies Zombies Vikings Sporadic and superfluous verbosity Sennheiser headphones Things that are not awesome: Mashed potatoes Terrible grammar Mental arithmetic Evil, miniature vampires of doom [spiders] Running out of hard-drive space My eyesight. Anyway... it's potentially a pleasure to meet you, random forum person reading this. Hopefully this shall be the start of a beautiful friendship! No... why are you edging away from the computer?! Come back! We haven't even been properly introduced! Oh. Or you could just run away, muttering about restraining orders instead. That's ok. The dog still loves me. - Eliza P.S. What's this adoption malarky you mention in the rules? And does it mean I get extra Christmas presents? |

Thank you very much!
I'd be honoured to be adopted by a connoisseur of nonsense, since nonsensical things are often the most entertaining. I'm afraid you can only sell me at a later date if you'll permit me to retain the merchandising rights [hey, it worked for George Lucas] It probably wouldn't make too great a difference though, because I'd make a pretty terrible action figure. Anyway - nice to meet you, Mr. Charlie. What sort of music do you like? Do you play any instruments yourself? And which is your favourite turtle? |

What is this!?
It would be awesome if you actually stuck around. What a lively intro post. I know you didn't ask me but Michaelangelo used to be my favorite but then I moved onto Donatello and he's my current fave. Mashed potatoes is so completely awful. I don't know how people eat that rubbish.

This is me on caffeine haha.
I do intend to stick around: people seem friendly so far, although I do confess that my memory is abysmal at the best of times Snap! I always liked Donatello [mainly because I was utterly unoriginal at that age, and copied my older brother's preference, plus his soft toy Donatello may have had something to do with it] but actually, purple is now my favourite colour, so it's quite fitting. And yes! Finally! Another person who apprehends the horror that is piles of flavourless, textureless, completely pointless starch. All it does is soak up sauce/ gravy that should rightfully be used on the remainder of your food - the parts of the meal actually worth eating. But now... I have a very important question for you. It is an enquiry of tremendous significance, that will determine the awesomeness of all future interactions! Are you ready? ...This is the question: Do you own an actual chameleon? |

Now that you mention the color connection. Orange was my favorite color as a kid but Mike loved pizza more than the others. So I was all about Mike but then I moved over to Donatello because he was the smart techy nerd and I related to him much more plus I loved his weapon of using a staff.
Sorry to disappoint but that's a negative on the chameleon ownership. Cats are my thing/pet of choice.

....Cats are almost as good And certainly far more effective lap-warmers
I love pizza too Fighting staffs are pretty cool, I like Matt's use of one in Wheel of Time [if you read those books?] back when I was 4 or 5 or whatever though, things like which one was the coolest toy/ colour were most important, I confess: it was never a particularly informed decision. Do you have any pictures of your pets? Are we allowed to post pictures here? |

Awwww! They're beautiful! Female ginger cats are quite rare, aren't they?
Funnily enough my pet is also red-haired [I have an Irish Setter]. I was going to show you some photos, but apparently I have to have posted 15 times first :/ |

hmmm they are considered Orange Tabbys but I'm not sure how rare they are.
Also the 15 posts that you need to make are in the music section of the site because posts anywhere else like here and the Lounge don't count towards your post count total.
