Another music enthusiast ready for some mighty fine banter
 

Hi all! I am a freshman at the University of Texas. 18 years old. I'm really into Metal of all varieties (from thrash to black to doom, etc.) but I also like many other forms of rock music (punk, prog, grunge, etc.) as well as assorted hip hop and classical artists. My main passion is metal, but I am openminded and willing to explore any genre.

If you ask me, two of the greatest things in life are music and the internet. I'm always looking for new places to share/discover music with other likeminded people. Which led me here.

So far, MusicBanter seems like it is a lot more active and has many more cool features than similar music forums I've checked out in the past, so I look forward to getting to know all of you regulars and exploring the site. Any advice for a newcomer?

I've seen your taste in a few posts in the Rock/Metal section and you are obviously of superior taste. It's nice to have some more actual metalheads around here to balance out all the indie nerds.
