Default Greetings all!

Hello everyone,

I signed up on here quite a while back but hadn't posted, so here we go!
(Though my first official post was a few minutes ago in the Nirvana In Utero 20th Anniv. thread.)

Now about me:

Obviously a music lover. Like pretty much anything that sounds good, but I tend to lean more toward rock.

My likes: rock, metal/thrash, movie soundtracks and scores, some ska, funk (mostly old school), r & b (again, mostly old school), some pop but with more of a rock edge to it, classical, old blues, and a bunch of other stuff I'm to lazy to put in on an early Saturday morning. Ha ha.

42 years old, married for 9 years (but have been together for almost 14 years), love to go out and watch live music, take road trips, visit with friends, find all kinds of music stores/shops, LOVE good food, and even though I don't have a lot of time during 9 months of the year (I'll explain below), I thoroughly enjoy reading.

As for the 9 months thing, I'm an elementary school teacher. I've been teaching for about 13 years and I love it (well, not the politics of it or how our public education is being raped and then being blamed for kids supposedly not learning), but there's nothing else I'd rather do. I taught 1st grade for about 10 years, and the last two years I've been teaching 3rd grade. The difference in the two grades is a WHOLE new world.

Besides a music collector, I collect action figures (mostly Star Wars stuff). But I'm not one of those collectors that you might see on that show Collection Intervention. Actually in the last few years I have cut way down on stuff I've gotten. It was never at a "holy crap you have THAT much stuff?" level, but a fair amount. I've also been getting rid of a lot of stuff, so that helps. I only display a few things, so it's NEVER a clutter in my in-home office/man cave.

Not much else except the typical home/work/life stuff that comes about.

Hope to get more active on the boards and see how many cool folks are on here.
