KenSon of Bottom Notch

Hello. My name is KenSon and I am one half of Bottom Notch, a hip-hop duo from Berkeley, CA. I joined this sight to promote my group's album, Do Right Music, dropping August 27th. I will also be adding a music journal and a blog to keep interested members up to date on what is going on.

We (KenSon and Noah Boa of Bottom Notch) met in high school back in 2008 and have been making music together ever since. Our styles tend to be rather free-form and adventurous while our subject matter is based on our day to day life and the situations which tug at us in various directions. Do Right Music marks the third Bottom Notch project to date. Our preceding projects, The Focus: Mattielee and Fresh Is In, were both full length albums. Do Right Music will be a five-song EP.

Aside from being a talented emcee I am also a photography enthusiast, sports video game mark, and chess player (find me on chess.com if you would like to play. I go by berkeleysc). I spend my downtime doing all these things, as well as smoking herb and playing sudoku. There is not much downtime, however, as I am heavily focused on succeeding musically.
