A Wild Ágætis Byrjun Appears!
 

So, hello! I'm new here, and my username is Ágætis Byrjun.

The name came from the Sigur Rós album of the same name. Although, not because I'm a huge fan, mostly because I think it looks really cool.

Anyway, I'm mostly a metal fan, I like various sub-genres such as: power metal, progressive metal, death metal, black metal (sometimes) and symphonic metal.

I also enjoy some good prog rock, occasionally some pop or nu-metal, and sometimes, very rarely, even jazz. :yikes:

So anyway, good to be here, and all that.

Don't be scared of jazz. Jazz is your friend.

Anyway, welcome aboard! Who are some of your favorite metal bands?

Thanks for the welcome! I've been meaning to listen to more jazz, but I always get sucked back into the black hole that is metal.

Favorite bands would be something like : Dream Theater, Ayreon, Porcupine Tree, Opeth, Into Eternity, Devin Townsend, Between The Buried And Me, and some others I can't remember.
