Default What's up from down under....

Greetings-
Stumbled upon this site in a combined moment of 3 o'clock-itis in the office and a moment of enlightenment during a random google search. Either way, this could be the beginning of a beautiful friendship! lol

Enough about that- more about me!

There isn't much that I don't like in terms of music, but my favourite genres would have to be indie rock, Australian hip hop, and drum'n'bass.

I would be happy for someone to adopt me and let me know the ins and outs of this forum, as it looks like there is plenty of great and interesting info contained herein.

I honestly can say I've never heard Australian hip hop. Is it actually popular there?

I'll adopt you bb. Welcome to the forum let me know if you need anything!

Aussie hip hop is pretty huge actually- it has been growing in popularity predominantly since the early 2000's. The best known bands currently are those such as Hilltop Hoods, Bliss'n'Eso, 360, Drapht, Seth Sentry.... the list goes on! It's no where near like American hip hop, so people tend to either love it or hate it.

Down under as in the land down under- don't you know the Men at Work classic song? Actually- probably not! Either that, or down under a table if I have consumed one too many drinks!

Yeah, I know about Hilltop Hoods and Bliss 'n' Eso but the others I don't know too well.

Maybe later on you could start a thread in the hip hop section and doing little mini features/bios with each artist and post one or two songs from each artist.

oh and welcome btw
