newbie and need help
just joined. I need an answer to why my brand new portable cd player doesn't seem to want to read my old 80s cds. do I need to try to find a working older player? guess I need to return my new one. thanks. Brian

Shouldn't happen. Does it play newer CDs? Are these CDRs or anything? What make/model is it? Do the discs play in any other player?

Yeah, your CD player is ****ed. There should be absolutely no reason why it shouldn't read older CDs.

Yeah, if they're sitting at the bottom of a pool or a river, then that can't be good for them.
