Good evening!!

Hey all, I just registered so I thought I'd introduce myself.

I like all kinds of music, ranging from classical to punk but my all-time favorite artists are probably Tom Waits, Leonard Cohen, Guided by Voices and Tchaikovsky. I'm currently listening to a lot of Sparklehorse, Dinosaur Jr., Built to Spill, PJ Harvey, Fiona Apple and John Coltrane & Johnny Hartman.

I look forward to posting more!

Welcome dinosaur! You sound like you like some pretty good stuff there!

Thank you :)! I didn't expect such a quick reply haha

Janszoon 12-12-2012 03:19 PM

Heh. I didn't even realize how quick it was!

So what are your favorite Waits and Cohen albums?

dinosaur 12-12-2012 03:27 PM

My favorite Waits' album is probably either Rain Dogs or Frank's Wild Years, but I'm also very fond of Bad As Me and Real Gone. Ugh, I just can't pick a definite favorite I think :(

I think Songs From A Room is my favorite album by Cohen, I just love how sparse the instrumentation is :)

What are your favorites?

I have the same problem with Tom Waits as well. I'm be tore between Rain Dogs, Bone Machine, Mule Variations and Small Change.

I have the impression there's too much baroque elitism going on in the small classical interested sub-community here, so it's nice to see a little love for this guy as well. ;)

Welcome to the forums, dinosaur!
