Red face No one is going to read this...

Hi, if you have actually clicked on this, I am probably talking to myself right now though...

Sooo, I'm an average girl that's secretly weird. I'm crazy into music and I joined the forum to maybe meet people like me? I like most kinds of music, but I really love acoustic (if you hadn't already guessed from my name). I also like a bit of indie sometimes, and I've basically been brought up on ska/two tone. I had no choice but to like it.

So if you have read this and would like to adopt me/talk to me, please reply! It would be nice to talk to some people who are as into music as I am

Welcome to MB, Acoustigirl. Out of curiosity, when you say acoustic, what do you mean? Country? Older jazz? Folk? Mariachi band music? Drum circles?

Mainly folk (Ben Howard, Benjamin Leftwich) also, kind of alternative (angus & julia stone) if you haven't heard them definitely look them up. They are so under-rated!

HI there AG. Welcome!
I reviewed Ben Howard's "Every kingdom" in my "Bitesize" music journal but was not very impressed by it. I do like most acoustic music, as I think it often shows the most talent, well, it strips away the gadgets and doodads that can, shall we say, enhance other types of music.

I enjoyed Newton Faulkner's album, (again reviewed) but if I had to pick out a favourite acoustic album it would be (gasp!) Antimatter's "Planetary confinement". If you haven't heard it, I urge you to give it a go.

Anyhoo, you're not talking to yourself, but don't worry as we're all a bit crazy around here --- who said that?

Oh yeah, I'd be happy to adopt you, though to be honest I don't know how much help it'd be. Still, willing to try if you are...

:o :o :o! Every Kingdom is one of my favourite albums of this year!! I listened to in non stop during the summer... saying that, I was in Cornwall- the land of the surfers and it kind of fitted in with the lifestyle/location.

Newton Faulkner is always good, I really enjoy his music. I've never heard of Antimatter! I will definitely give it a listen

Given the number of responses to this thread I think the title should be changed to "A Moderate Amount of People Will Read This".
