A Guitarist/Bassist's Introduction
Hi, my name is Dylan (After Bob Dylan and Dylan Thomas), and I am a sixteen-year-old guitarist and bassist. I focus on guitar, but have more experience on stage with bass. I am not in a band or any music oriented collaboration, unfortunately.
I enjoy a variety of music. Mainly Rock, one (Jazz-)Rap artist so far, Jazz, Folk, Classical, Classic Rock, some Metal (can't stand the pig-ish mic swallowing), etc. My favorite bands are Queens of the Stone Age, Radiohead, Death Cab for Cutie, and 58 at the moment. I highly dislike Metallica, AC/DC, Guns n' Roses, Aerosmith, the Scorpions, and other such bands. I do not like listening to Led Zeppelin, but that's purely related to the vocalist. Nice to meet the people of MusicBanter.

Hi Dylan, a belated welcome to MusicBanter!
Were you really named after Bob Dylan and Dylan Thomas? I'm guessing your parents must be music enthusiasts, which perhaps inspired your interest in guitar, bass, and music in general. I'm also not a big fan of Led Zeppelin's music, although I do like "Stairway to Heavan" and "All of My Love." Do you like any of Robert Plant's solo songs or do you simply dislike his voice in any setting?

Now, this is the most amazing post ever.
I didn't know this thread existed. I am a Guitarist, and I just happen to be in a band. I can play Lynyrd Skynyrd songs pretty well, because the first thing I learned on guitar was the beginning of Gimme Three Steps. Sweet Home Alabama then followed that.
