Default Hey from Midwest

Hi I'm Jack from Kansas, and I'm looking forward to getting on with the conversation. I like rap, rock, even a lil country. This forum looked good because everyone seems nice. =)

Welcome to MusicBanter, Jack!

I think country music must be very popular around where I live, because non-pay TV has two country channels. (I must confess I bleep over those when channel surfing on the rare occasions that I watch TV). But I *do* like Taylor Swift's "Love Story" and that's country, right?

Who are some of your favorite rock and country artists? (I already know your favorite rappers from your list. )

I'm glad everyone on the forum seemed nice to you, and I hope you'll enjoy the conversations. Thanks for introducing yourself!

Erica

Thanks for replying. I like new country artists with a "twang" like george strait, toby keith, and alan jackson. I also like classical rock artists, such as ACDC.

Hey! I don't think I've ever heard a song by George Strait, Toby Keith, or Alan Jackson, so I googled George Strait and listened to the first song that popped up: "Troubadour." Then I listened to one of his older songs, "The Chair."

What strikes me about country music songs such as those two Strait songs is how heartfelt, introspective, and contemplative they are. They are often very sweet, aren't they?

Changing genres and moods, below is the AC/DC song I probably know best and have always liked. I never realized they were from Australia! (Just looked them up.)
