A Belated Welcome to MusicBanter, Bill!

I see you've already jumped into conversations, which is great. Seeing that you like power pop and Wilco, I decided to look up my favorite Wilco song online and happened upon a video of Wilco & Nick Lowe singing "Cruel to be Kind." I had no idea they'd done that together. (I prefer the original by Nick Lowe. )

I also want to honor the fact that you are a musician and are expanding to additional instruments. Learning a new instrument is such fun, so I'm glad you are enjoying that. I hope you'll have fun here sharing tastes and opinions, hearing new music you may have missed, and discussing all aspects of music. (I especially like MusicBanter because you can find or create any topic imaginable about music...or anything else, for that matter!)

Speaking of music that one may have missed, yesteday for the first time I heard the following song by Sweet that I'd never heard before: "Action." The song surprised me because it sounds more modern than I expected for a '70s song. So, I thought I'd offer this one up to you, in case you've missed it, too:

Sweet - "Action"
