There's a lot of music that I listen to.
I like jazz, rock, metal, pop (not much of it though). I guess it depends on the mood that I'm in. Lately I've been listening to a lot of jazz. Since I just graduated, I guess I've been absorbing a lot of that hehe. Is anyone here a musician too? |

Ah, a fellow jazz lover. Wonderful. Who are your favorite jazz artists?
I play drums, by the way. Sort of jazzy hip hop with the occasional double kick fill. Was in a band, but we sorta dissolved so now I'm waiting around for a new one.

That's great! I graduated from a vocal program, but we had some drums lessons. They made us play odd time signatures and metric modulations hehe, it felt useless at the time, but I'm glad they made us do it. It was very helpful. I think every musician should be proficient in these topics.

I'm a bit more into darker nu jazz, free jazz, or older stuff but those artists aren't bad (especially Monk, who was obviously a genius).
Yeah, I wish I knew more theory, I never learned how to play as a student, I'm mostly self-taught. Ah well. DIY and all that.
