Hey guys.
I've been lurking these forums for about a couple years now, and just thought I'd finally sign up.
Hello guys, how are you doing? I just want to say that I love what I've read on this site so far and I hope I can join in some of the discussions going on here. Hopefully this will be a way to introduce a new atmosphere since I've wanted to be part of a different community for awhile now. Anyway, reply if you're interested in talking and getting to know me, I'd be happy to fill you in and introduce myself. Thanks! |

It's not really so much dedication as much as it's just been on and off in general. Usually, I get tired of the other forums I visit so I come here once in awhile and look around. I also learn a lot here as well, which is good.
Anyway, I'm 16 years old. I usually listen to a lot of rock, with some metal or some old school punk in between there. Artists range from some instrumental musicians like Joe Satriani and Steve Vai to classic rock such as Boston, some old Aerosmith, Led Zeppelin, and The Rolling Stones. I like a lot of grunge, I like Nirvana, Alice In Chains, Soundgarden, Dinosaur Jr. and the Pixies(not entirely sure if they can technically be classified as grunge, but I usually put the latter two in that category). And then I also listen to a lot of indie, that's stuff like Bloc Party, LCD Soundsystem, Maximo Park, Neutral Milk Hotel, Modest Mouse, and Interpol. These aren't all the bands I listen to, but that's just a general sample of what I like. |

Hey, that's good enough for me.
Well, on the indie/punk side of things, have you listened to Cage The Elephant? And as for hardcore punk, although they play all sorts of things today, early Clutch is awesome.

Cage The Elephant is great. Good stuff.
Would provide a link of one of my favourite songs (probably my personal fav by them) but it won't let me yet. As for punk in general, the farthest I'll usually go with it is stuff like The Ramones, The Clash and the Sex Pistols. Not really a huge fan of it, just little doses here and there. Every now and then, there will be a more modern punk band that'll strike my fancy (Less Than Jake, Flogging Molly) but I'm not too into punk in general. For the record, I'm listening to that Clutch song you posted as I'm typing this. I'm liking it, gonna see about downloading some of their stuff. Last edited by KrazyKrizic; 05-25-2012 at 10:07 AM. |

You don't have to be shy. I know that you just wanted to talk to me. Don't feel embarrassed, my awesomeness can be pretty intimidating. It happens to most people.

Glad you like the Clutch song! I always tell people about them, they rock. I will warn you though, they evolved from their first album... nowadays they play something in between stoner metal and blues, but still fantastic. They have an album for every occasion.
