I'm 16, and I've been a huge rap fan since my early years. My name's Jake, call me what you want. My favorite artists are Drake, Wiz Khalifa, Yelawolf, Mac Miller, and Lil Wayne. I listen to them a lot, and I know every word to most of Drake's songs. He is, by far, the best rapper in my opinion.

I don't understand why I should be treated differently. I enjoy listening to the more popular rappers. I am open to all suggestions, hell, maybe I'll learn something here.

For sure, it's just that most people don't take kindly to mainstream rappers around these parts. As long as you're willing to expand your musical horizons we're glad to have you. Welcome! :D

The key to success is to be willing to consider your own fallibility. It is only when you accept that your music tastes are sh*t that you will be able to broaden your horizons and truly accept the merit of better music than Lil Wayne. Once you do this, your life will be enriched beyond imagination. You have been led to believe that today's Rap artists make it to the top of the charts because they are good. This is a lie. Today's Rap artists get there because their cliche' beats and lyrics are easily digestible by millions of people who have had popular media tell them all their short little lives what they should consider "good".

Stick around, and we will not teach you what good music is. We will teach you how to think for yourself. :afro:
