problem is, some people here are extremely close-minded and prejudiced

i sang all the praises to LP's "A Thousand Suns" and has been variously shot down in the process

i don't think they even actually bother to listen to it - it's like Linkin Park, yeah, they suck

That's a shame. They are missing out on really good music, including Linkin park. The main reason I love Linkin Park is the meaning and soul they put behind their music. Anyone who can't appreciate that is missing out on more than just music.

Hi Brittany!

It looks as if a lot of what you listen to is quite similar, so please feel welcome to have a look in our music subsections:

Rock & Metal - Music Banter

You'll find some interesting new artists in there, and there is also a thread for recommendations.

Rock N Roll, Classic Rock & 60s Rock - Music Banter

You might wish to look in there as well.

I notice that you like nu-metal quite a lot - you may wish to have a look in the nu-metal thread: http://www.musicbanter.com/rock-meta...-nu-metal.html

Hope this can be useful!
