Default Hello

Obviously, I'm new here. I was peeking around a bit and I have never seen such a collection of band names that I knew absolutely nothing about! Very exciting for me, I'm always looking to expand my musical selections. I had previously thought my music tastes to be eclectic, but I am beginning to doubt. My current musical obsession is the album Blood Money by Tom Waits. I also listen to a lot of Atmosphere, some Faint, Weezer, and more Tom Waits.

I do play clarinet, but not professionally. I was a music major for my first two years of college, but the pressure of constant performace was a little too much. Plus, I want to enjoy playing music. Drilling myself to play scales and scale variations for four hours a day just made me hate it. I did love the theory and have continued to take the classes in my current health care professional pursuits. (And I do continue to play clarinet...currently working on the Poulenc sonata).

When I'm nervous I ramble.

I played clarinet for about 4 months when I was 11. What made you choose it?
