Hello, Hello

Hello all, I'm the new guy. Feels a bit weird to call myself a newbie considering how long I've been using forums in general....but to this place, I am a newbie.

So....I dig music. Think I came to the right place? haha. I like pretty much anything. If you check out my last FM page you'll see how diverse my taste is, and that's just the stuff I've listened to lately. Music is pretty much my life. Aside from listening...I've been playing for about 26 years, I write a little, former high school band nerd, former/current sound engineer and lighting designer....and in my spare time I like to knit album covers. Lol, just kidding about that last one.

Welcome. Our compatibility is Very Low. Shame.

Rob Rock 08-06-2011 02:50 PM

If you're referencing our last FM compatibility....well they tend to be wrong. I've only been "scrobbling" for the last month or so, so they don't really have a good idea what I listen to. Not to mention it doesn't seem to want to scrobble my ipod...except once.

Unless you like mostly country and polka....then our compatibility will be very low.

Yes, it's a poor sample size. Particularly when comparing an account that logs everything with an account that's logged very little.

Fall Out Boy????? No wonder it says our compatibility is low.

But I see you're a fan of Muse, The Beatles (but who doesn't like The Beatles?), and My Chem...so all is forgiven.

Welcome, our compatability was also low.

...Yes, an artist I have 100 plays of who I listened when I first joined lastFM in 05 should be used as the bastion of my taste.

That statement also applies to some of the bands you liked as well.

Brat.

I do, but I'd prefer to have it portrayed accurately.

Howard the Duck 08-07-2011 07:47 AM

well, I like Green Day, Limp Bizkit and KoRn, if anyone wants to talk about bad taste
