Hi all,

Just signed up for this today, so hoping to get to grips with it and fit in!

I am one half of an acoustic duo and we are just getting started. Hoping to find lots of like minded people on here.

Also be good to find any other Mavis Staples fans, since she's my absolute hero

Welcome Reedy, mosey around and I've actually never listened to Mavis Staples, so it would be cool to have you recommend some of her work?

Hi Boneshaker,

Absolutely,

I saw her in concert last November in London and she's coming back to the UK in August so I'm looking forward to that.

There's an album called Hope At The Hideout which is great, there's also the latest album You're Not Alone.

But practically anything she does is amazing (there's lots on spotify)

Don't think I can put links on until I've been around a bit longer and done about 15 posts though.
