Hello from Norway!
Hi, my name is Gitte and I'm a nineteen-year-old girl from Norway. This is my first time registrating to a music forum ever and I'm pretty excited about it! I feel there is so much to learn and discover!
My taste in music? I mainly listen to indie and alternative rock. Some of my favourites are; Arcade Fire, The Antlers, Modest Mouse, The Kills, Smashing Pumpkins, Pixies, Radiohead and Pink Floyd. And just last month I discovered In the Aeroplane over the Sea and I've been listening to it frequently since then. A little bit about myself; I study physics at the University Of Oslo and I use a lot of my free time practicing and competing in karate. (WKF kumite.) I look forward to spending time here! |

Very cool list of bands you've got going on there! Welcome!
There's a lot of cool music to discover here. You'd probably really dig the indie and alternative forums on here, and there are a lot of really good threads you can peruse to find awesome new artists. It's really fun. Hope you enjoy it here, and looking forward to seeing your posts!

Welcome to MusicBanter!!
I know a hilarious joke in Norwegian, but ffs I cant remember it and none of the Norwegians I know are online to ask. Its from a song or something, and the punchline is 'a cat in a neck tie'. She's from Oslo, which pretty much guarantees she'll have been in Neseblod Record store! Am I right?

The English translation isnt funny, the joke goes 'want me to tell you a joke? A cat in a neck tie'. You'll have to ask the new girl why its funny, I've been told its part of a children's song over there or something like that...
