Default Hello from Norway!

Hi, my name is Gitte and I'm a nineteen-year-old girl from Norway. This is my first time registrating to a music forum ever and I'm pretty excited about it! I feel there is so much to learn and discover!

My taste in music? I mainly listen to indie and alternative rock. Some of my favourites are; Arcade Fire, The Antlers, Modest Mouse, The Kills, Smashing Pumpkins, Pixies, Radiohead and Pink Floyd. And just last month I discovered In the Aeroplane over the Sea and I've been listening to it frequently since then.

A little bit about myself; I study physics at the University Of Oslo and I use a lot of my free time practicing and competing in karate. (WKF kumite.)

I look forward to spending time here!

Very cool list of bands you've got going on there! Welcome!

There's a lot of cool music to discover here. You'd probably really dig the indie and alternative forums on here, and there are a lot of really good threads you can peruse to find awesome new artists. It's really fun.

Hope you enjoy it here, and looking forward to seeing your posts!

Awww... I was hoping you would know a lot of black metal

I love your taste in music though, I'm familiar with all those except The Kills, which I will check out now.

Welcome to the Site.

Welcome to MusicBanter!!

I know a hilarious joke in Norwegian, but ffs I cant remember it and none of the Norwegians I know are online to ask. Its from a song or something, and the punchline is 'a cat in a neck tie'.

She's from Oslo, which pretty much guarantees she'll have been in Neseblod Record store! Am I right?

The English translation isnt funny, the joke goes 'want me to tell you a joke? A cat in a neck tie'. You'll have to ask the new girl why its funny, I've been told its part of a children's song over there or something like that...
