Already made an intro thread, but I'll barge my way into this thread as well!
Been a lurker for a few months, but only recently decided to make an actual account and infest the board with my presence. I like dark music, writing, films, and fellow independent black women who don't need no man.

As far as I'm concerned you can shove all your intro posts & welcoming committees. In my mind you don't exist until you make a post worth reading in the music forums.
And I don't care what your favourite bands are either if you can't be bothered to write something about them.

I actually agree with what he said. Intro threads mean close to nothing if the member doesn't become a long staying member. So welcoming them to the forum means absolutely nothing if they don't stick around. I've welcomed a few people here and there, but I can't be ****ed to welcome every single member who joins. It's pointless.

Well, I'm doing my best to stay active around here, and most of my posts have been in the music sections. I mean, that's what I registered here for: the music discussion and the flimsy moral standards.

Knowing what you like is the most important thing. Don't let other people change your opinion of a band, even if the majority hates the band. You are an independent music listener who don't need no changes in taste. Unless you want to change it.
