*post contains ninjas*
Okay, so that might have been a lie, this post doesn't actually contain ninjas... OR DOES IT? You'll never know. Either way, you clicked it, so that's a start!
Hello. I'm Vonny, I dwell in Edinburgh, Scotland. I play lead guitar in band called Echo Arcadia - have been noodling away on the axe since the ripe old age of 7, so I reckon I can hold my own with most. Spend most of my days gigging and doing band stuff, and when I'm not doing that I'm making ends meet by drawing pictures and building websites for people (yes, that art degree seems totally worth it now...) Anyway, as you've probably gathered, I'm new, and new things are only exciting for two minutes until something newer comes along. So please say hi. I don't bite, unless there's good reason Vonny x |

Hmmm, my tastes are pretty varied, and it all depends on my mood really. Favourite bands of all time are Radiohead, Smashing Pumpkins, The Cure, Joy Division, Echo and The Bunnymen, Nirvana, Tool, Metallica, QOTSA.... The list goes on, my music collection is vast. Basically if it has guitars, good melodies, catchy riffs, or makes me 'feel' something, I like it.
*ahem* also a bit of a classical music/jazz fan too *ahem* What about you? |

Thank you for the warm welcome!
As for Jazz... well, that's been more of a slow-burning love, fostered out of my very first boyfriend being a jazz drummer. Don't go out of my way to listen to much in the way of current Jazz composers, though I go to see SNJO often when they play (one of my friends, Alyn, is their resident drummer). Saw them play with guitarist John Scofield recently, and he was just insane. As for what I like though; hmmm. Miles Davis, Duke Ellington, Dave Brubeck, Theolonius Monk, Cannonball Adderley, nothing too obscure. |
