Good that you're happy on your own, patient, etc. I'm the same really. I don't need to have a boyfriend to function, lol. Several of my friends NEED a boyfriend at all times. They seriously can't handle being alone.

Yeah, Yahoo bothers me a bit. What can you do though, lol

Ha ha. Sounds like an interesting art school project. If all school work was that captivating, right? (I actually liked school work though, to be honest, such a nerd I know :P )

See, a real photographer carries a camera w/ them wherever they go, like you. Me...not so much, lol.

I didn't think you were a metalhead. Just the name of the band gave me a totally random metal vibe. Makes no sense, but came to mind, lol.

Ian E Coleman: Thanks for the welcome

mojopinuk: Thank you for the welcome. And it was interesting to read your thoughts on Oasis. I'd have to agree. Morning Glory is probably my personal fave, just because 'Wonderwall' is one of my favorite songs and brings back some great memories, so I'm biased

laserlife: I'd have to agree

Stu: Oh nice! It's rare for me to meet another anthro major, besides those I attended college with, lol. Thanks for the welcome too.

I liked the other one more, this one is more of an aloof model look. But then again everyone has their preferences with things like image/photos.

Welcome, it looks like you have sparked what must be one of the longer introductory threads here.

Have you heard any of Noel Gallaghers solo or acoustic sessions?

One of my earliest memories that has anything to do with a love or even a slight interest in music is being about 11 years old and on a Scout trip (yes, I was a nerd) and everyone singing along to a radio in the minibus that was playing Wonderwall. However, I bored terribly of the track for many years. It was overplayed consistently to the point I lost interest. Even Noel Gallagher got to the point where he could no longer play that song live and they dropped it from their live sets for around about a year. That is until Ryan Adams covered it, inspired Noel Gallagher to play it slightly differently, take the vocals himself, and I fell in love with it again.

Don't Look Back in Anger is the best Oasis song for me, I've never liked Wonderwall.

Hmmm, I wouldn't want to be without friends. And, more specifically, I love girls, I like them better than guys most of the time, as regular friends. So I always 'need' to have a bunch of girlfriends, but then they don't have to be girlfriends .
I like hugging though. I wouldn't want to do without that

MSN messenger? Sucks too

Well it sure was an interesting experience, yes.
I like to learn, I just like to do it whenever I feel like it. Not just because I have to. I can't tell myself 'it's good for you'. So homework has always been awful for me. But I don't think you're a nerd for wanting to study. Hope you can keep that up. Obviously it's good to have some fun time off now and then, too

I don't know. I carry a Canon SX200IS everywhere. But I only take my EOS 30D when I know I am going to make some proper pictures. But yes, I am bothered when I see something beautiful and am not able to take a picture of it.
Had one of these moments today, too

starrynight- Funny that you mention an 'aloof look', lol. The person taking this photo was actually telling me not to smile, instead simply to 'gaze' at him, ha ha. Surprisingly, I found it rather difficult to keep a straight face; I think due to being so accustomed to smiling for photos. Plus, I'm obviously not a model, so it felt a bit strange, lol. Still, I liked how it came out (enough to use it as my profile pic, lol). Thanks for the complement on my other avie though. And thanks for the welcome Also, I really love that Oasis song too (Don't Look Back in Anger)! Undoubtedly a lovely one. Great choice.

mojopinuk- WOW! No, I'd never heard that! I absolutely love it though. Thank you kindly for sharing it here. I added it to my Youtube playlist, lol. Your memory of being 11yrs old and on a Scout trip with everyone singing along to Wonderwall sounds great! How cute! And nerds are cool in my opinion (probably because I'm a bit of one myself, lol). Besides, knowledge is sexy. Also, I think I've never grown tired of Wonderwall because I only listen to it on occasion, off and on. I hate when I play a song so much that I burn out on it. I try my best to practice moderation, lol. Glad to hear you've fallen in love once again, he he.

s_k- I didn't mean without friends, lol. I meant it's nice that you don't ALWAYS need to have a girlfriend; That you can be happy/functional even when you don't have one.

Thanks. Yes, I've always excelled in and loved school. I truly enjoy learning new things, so I suppose it comes naturally. In fact, one of my goals in life is to learn as much as I can about all that I can (quite the lofty goal, I know). That's what drives my passion for non-fiction. My book collection runs the gamut from psychology, travel, opera, wine, the holocaust, sociology, art, oceanography, various animals, astronomy, photography, etc, etc, etc, etc. Honest to goodness, if you were to see my Amazon.com wishlist, you'd think I was opening a small library. HA HA! And everyone knows that a book from my wishlist is the first thing I'll point them to when they ask what I'd like for my birthday/christmas, etc. In fact, I can't even recall the last special occasion in which I didn't receive at least two new books, lol.

Ah, bummer about the missed moment. Where were you in that photo? A bus?

Sure, I understood what you meant. I guess I was just carried away a bit. I tend to lose track of the point every now and then .
So yes, indeed, it's good to be able to be without a girlfriend. I see people around me getting into new relationships as fast as possible. I rather wait and see if I can find something really really good. Doesn't happen every day though. So what .

My ex-girlfriend has a book closet that's 5 metres (what's that, about 5,5 yards?) wide and up to the ceiling. Literally. She hasn't quite read all that's in it, but it definitely is an interesting thing to look at. I'm not much of a reader myself. I used to be, but we had to read a certain amount of books every period in high school and that sort of kicked the reading out of me. It shouldn't be mandatory. Pity. I do read a lot on the internet and magazines, obviously. And I usually am working on a book, but it's mainly just short stories or columns I read. Sorry. I'm not one of those types who says 'reading is stupid', though .

A train .
But I obviously didn't miss that moment since there's a picture of it >

I'm glad you like it. You should delve a little deeper into Noel Gallaghers solo and acoustic performances. To be honest thats whats kept me interested over the years. I have load of it, if I can dig any of it out I'll pass it your way.

s_k- Ah, I see. I'm glad you understood what I meant about not having a bf/gf Also, nice about your ex's book closet...that sounds cool. Glad you didn't miss the moment either, lol. I was thinking you meant that you had wanted to be 'outside' of the train and taking a photo of the landscape. My bad.

mojopinuk- Thanks again for introducing me to these solo and acoustic performances. I was trying to search for some of them, and so far all I could find was this album (on Amazon.com and the itunes store):

Amazon.com: The Dreams We Have As Children [Live For Teenage Cancer Trust]: Noel Gallagher: MP3 Downloads

Where else would you recommend I look? Or is that everything? Thank you in advance.

Thats probably the only CD release you're gonna find, it was studio produced and mastered and released with a Sunday newspaper here and on iTunes. Theres two different versions, one of them is not the complete peformance.

I could sort you that one though, cause I have it. In regards to the rest of the Noel/Oasis acoustic performances you would be looking to bootlegs and mp3's, but as I say I have all or most of the good stuff. I can probably get around to finding the time to digging it all out.
