Default Newbcake here. Have a slice.

Just popped in to introduce myself, say a hello or two, hopefully not make enemies and such. Not good at these introductions...

Considering this is a music forum, I'll talk about that. D:

Right. Well. I'm a pretty big Sigur Rós fan, my name would probably give that away to anyone who knows the names of the members. They're why I started playing bowed guitar and bought an acoustic bass guitar. Currently, they're what drives me musically. I'm a pretty new fan of Morrissey/The Smiths. I love everything about their songs. I'm one of the few fans of Nick Drake. I say few 'cause me and my sister are the only two Nick Drake fans I know of. He probably does have more than just us two, but you know. D: I'm a fan of the Who. They inspired me to play the bass guitar.

As for my musical abilities instrumentally, well... I'm about average. My life was without music until about six years ago, due to the fact that as a kid, as naive and stupid as I was, thought that music was retarded. Boy was I wrong. Then I had a chance to full around on a double bass. I fell in love that year. 2005. I was about 13 or 14 then. Even then, unfortunately, it was just because I was taking music as a class, and I still didn't like it much past how fun playing the double bass is. I only started playing seriously about a year ago. On electric bass. Which is now my designated signature weapon. I've also recently picked up the bowed guitar.

And well, that's it. Now you know all about little old me.

Don't cool-story-bro me too much. ._.

Sigur Ros, Nick Drake and The Who already have their fans here, but of course we're more than happy to take on another.

Welcome to the site, Jónsi! By the way, where are you from?
