The car pic will have to wait a while until I'm allowed to attach links though. By the way, you know that the Volvo 340 actually is a dutch car, right?

Jup. It's built in Born, which is about 3 miles from here .
They built Mitsubishi's after that (I had a carisma that was built there, worst car ever). The 340 is based on the 343 which back then was supposed to replace the DAF 66, being called the DAF 77. Daf then gave up on building cars and went on building trucks. Pity. Eitherway, I had a Volvo 440 an 144 before, so a 340 seems a nice addition to my car history. And about Sweden... I'll have to go there to be sure, I guess . As for the car pic: Check 'manage attachements' in 'advanced' mode. It's somewhere below.

Yeah, those DAF's were cool with their belt transmission. Ingenious solution! The 66 model became Volvo 66 for a couple of years before the introduction of the 343.
Here we have my own pride:

God I love it.
Original paint? How rusty do these cars get in sweden? The Volvo 66 actually drives pretty well. A friend of mine has a Daf 66 Marathon Sedan (rather rare, and it's tundra green, brilliant), but the Volvo is a lot more subtle. Pretty comfortable little thing. I've never driven a 340 so far, so really wondering what it'll be like

It's original paint yes, although the fenders have been replaces somewhere along the line. It has its share of rust around the edges but as usual, cars only get as rusty as you let them. I've been rather lucky through my car history in that department. I saw some pics of your Visa, by the way. Now that's a rarity!
