If you'd like to teach me, go ahead, but I'll probably just... not read it at all. The genres that I hate, I really hate.
So you hate something even though you apparently know next to nothing about it? That seems kind of narrow minded to me.

Well, anyway, the answer is that hip-hop music and rap music are pretty much synonyms, though technically speaking hip-hop refers more broadly to the culture and rap refers to the music.

Where has that been proven?

Yeah, where's that been proven?

I think you need to hear proper hippity hop, as RVCA said.
Rather than shit like 50 cent, telling us how rich he is over the course of 5 albums.
Unless of course you HAVE heard good Hip-Hop, what Hip-Hop have you heard?

Yeah, I hope you realized the can of worms you just opened up, Popsicle. Generally everyone who joins this site and ends up sticking around ends up liking some hip hop or other. People here know their **** and dumping on a genre like that is a big no no. Trust me, there is music in every genre that you will like. You just have to put in the work.

I still don't like Progressive Rock, so that's not entirely true.
One of these days though...

Well, you are just weird. I seriously don't know how you haven't found even ONE band that you like. I'll keep feeding them to you, too. My mission is clear. Do you like Tool? They are technically progressive in a lot of ways.

I didn't like Lateralus, I may have to revisit some Prog-Rock sometime soon.
It's been a while. But yeah, as a general rule of thumb - in every genre you'll find something you like. I really like In The Court Of The Crimson King so I've found at least one album I like. If it wasn't for 7 minutes of Moonchild, it'd be perfect.

Okay. I hate you.
