Name's Steve
How is everyone doing on this fantastic Tuesday morning? I was searching for a music forum to join and, well....here I am. Seems like a nice active place and hopefully I'll be around for a while. Let's see....well, I'm 19 years old and I live in New York. Favorite types of music are rap & rock. However, I'm not stuck to only a specific genre. If it sounds good, I listen to it. Right now I'm addicted to Thirty Seconds to Mars, Twin Atlantic, Crossfade, Dashboard Confessional, Skillet, Papa Roach, Decyfer Down, Alter Bridge, Shaman's Harvest, Three Days Grace, Korn and Snow Patrol. As for rap, I listen to a little T.I., Eminem and uh....that's pretty much it. The rest are older artists such as Tupac, Biggie, etc etc since rap nowadays is pretty much in the toilet, tbh.
Anyway, that's just a little about me and some of my favorite bands. Hopefully I'll get some replies. |

So are there a ton of Korn fans just waiting in the shadows or something?
I'm not a huge fan of most of that stuff, but you are welcome here anyways. Welcome!

Man, I must be out of touch – I've know of like 3 or 4 of those rock bands. There's certainly nothing wrong with Biggie and I agree that rap is in the toilet but if you're into that old school shizzle have you checked out the Wu Tang Clan's first couple of albums? Also the Wu Tang Clan's individual solo artist debut albums are all fantastic – GZA / Genius, Rae Kwon, Method Man, Ghostface Killah and of course Ol Dirty Bastard. That's a hip hop education right there. Then we go a little further back and hit A Tribe Called Quest –*I can't recommend anything more highly than that. I'll stop now, sorry –*I get carried away. My wife isn't into hip hop
