A lot of the post-rock albums I have are from Godspeed You! Black Emperor and its side projects/derivatives like A Silver Mt Zion, Set Fire To Flames, HṚṢṬA, Fly Pan Am, etc. Then there's Explosions In The Sky, Gregor Samsa, Foxhole, Hammock, and Milhaven.

I don't know too much about the genre either.

This Will Destroy You is probably my favorite of the 2000's post-rock bands, save for 65daysofstatic. If you have not listened, do so.
