Well it's both fun and difficult joining an established forum community. I hope this will be only fun.

I've been into music for as long as I can remember (though my memory isn't what it used to be). There aren't too many kinds of music that I don't like. My main genre loves these days belong to what has been referred to elsewhere as the "fringe": surf instrumental, power pop, garage rock, psych, Afro-beat, funk, ska, calypso, zydeco and various styles & forms of world music. I also like jazz, alt-country, electronic(a) and the various sub-genres within. Yeah, I also like the more well-known artists who I suppose fall into the indie, alternative and classic rock categories.

Anyway, glad to be here and hope to contribute something worthwhile, as well as meet some fine folks and pick up some great music.
