Take care, Conan (or Tim, gasp!). I really enjoyed your contributions to the forum and your love of Mr. O'Brien. Keep on making awesome tunes with those distorted windballs or whatever you liked to call them. I'll pm you my email so you can keep me posted on your future musical endeavors or if you get the urge to shoot the breeze.

For most members, one of these threads is not necessary and they can be made purely for attention which is pretty weak. For some members however, those of us who have posted here frequently for a long time and helped to contribute to this place, they are simply a parting word. They are an outlet to say whatever that member has on their mind and the thing is that alot of members here will WANT to read it. While i agree with Freebase to an extent when he says that permanantly ceasing to post here is probably not always the solution to these peoples problems, its clear that Conan thinks that this is the best thing to do. To publically state his intent to the rest of us to try and stop posting here as often so he can use his time for more productive matters. Its not a desperate attempt for attention or drama but rather something that he has to say to so many members all at once and also something that alot of us here genuinely want to read. If you see it that way then fine but i dont think its asking too much to keep your opinions to yourself unless you have something intelligent to say or something worthy of the rest of us reading, especially if you dont really know the poster because in that case what is the point in saying anything at all? His age then is also irrelevant to this thread, especially to a nothing poster with a handful of posts who can of course post in this thread if they wish but i wouldnt expect anyone to give a crap. What i quoted above is what i think is important. Obviously Conan has his reasons for this decision and so if he really believes that this is the way to achieve what he wants to achieve then so be it but im very glad to read the above paragraph. This is exactly what this place has helped me with too and i would hope that when he has some time to visit here without affecting his productivity in the long term, that he will come back for this reason alone if nothing else. All the best Conan mate. I look forward to you hopefully posting here again once you feel you've sorted your priorities out somewhat. |

Conan! You're leaving me?!
I could cry. It's sweet that you mentioned me. You're such a sweetheart and please keep in touch. Get your life together, I see why Music Banter could be a distraction and why you would need to cut off some Music Banter doing. Please come back if your life is together, because you're definitely a valued member. xx |
