Yet another introduction

Whats goin' on everyone? Just registered .. been listening to a wide variety of music lately and always looking to expand and check out some new ****. (or what would be new to me). used to listen to ALOT of hip hop but kind of grew out of that.

in the US .. Connecticut.

Freebase Dali 05-06-2010 07:22 PM

Grew out of hip hop?
What the hell were you listening to? ;)

Welcome, btw.

storymilo 05-06-2010 07:33 PM

I still like some hip hop/rap .. but most of it..i dunno man, too clubby, stereotypical..commercial

seems like theres hardly anyone in the rap game out to make good music, they all just want the pay day.

I do still like some of the underground guys like Sean Price
was a big Wu-Tang fan

i listen to a little bit of everything to be honest..except country
been diggin some Dropkick Murphy's, Metallica and Theory of a Deadman lately but thats my hard rock side

i do still like a lot of Coldplay...

bungalow 05-07-2010 03:49 PM

'Ry 05-07-2010 03:54 PM

bungalow 05-07-2010 03:57 PM

You must only have listened to radio stuff or something...
You ever dig any stuff like Aesop Rock, Apathy, K-Os, MF Doom, Canibal Ox, Peanut Butter Wolf, etc?
That's good hip hop right there. None of that MTV/Radio crap.

Arya Stark 05-07-2010 06:01 PM

Hey, MTV has some of the best artists around, J.
For example... 'Lil Wayne and Young Jeezy.

:D

Agreed.
You grew out of that stuff? Or the radio stuff?

'Ry 05-09-2010 10:16 AM

Fair enough.
Interests change. I know mine have changed a lot over the past 10 years. While I still listen to a lot of the same stuff I listened to then, I crave a more meaningful sound now that I can't really get from my old flames, regardless of what they are.
I don't think I could ever ditch it all, purely for nostalgic reasons, but I understand what you mean.
