Yeah I was gonna point that out but then again ive heard alot of people say similar things about Appetite For Destruction and The Stone Roses, how those records sparked an interest in music and given the year of release that interest became early 90's music.
Meh. |

well we don't know when he bought it. And its probably fair to say music didn't do a 180 on January 1st, 1990.

To answer some questions. Yes I agree that modern SP is mainstream. I hate zeitgeist with a passion. I realize that The Real Thing is an 80's album, it kicked off my interest for the 90's though. I dont hate all modern music, just modern extremely mainstream music. I dont understand why Hannah Montana, Jason Mraz and Soulja Boy get "best of the year" awards and albums like Black Gives Way To Blue by AIC go unnoticed.
As far as other music interest read my sig. Alice In Chains Smashing Pumpkins (early 90's only) Toadies RATM Pixies Cracker The Breeders Faith No More Feeder Just to name a few.

This makes much more sense now. I didnt want to come off as a bit of a tool before so i tried to choose my words carefully. The way you worded things though left me wondering if you were for real or not. I understand now.
I was listening to The Real Thing today. Such an awesome album. Black Sabbath are my favourite band but their cover of War Pigs is just incredible. |
