Smile Hey, just an introduction to myself. :D

Hi ghais and gurls.

I'm from London and I'm really into the indie scene, just joined up on the site to see who's from London and discover new bands etc...

Anyway, to start you off (so this thread is not just spam), I'm following...

Luner Youth atm, you guys heard of them? They're playing this May at a festival in London.

What's going on this year anyways?

Andy

Yeah that's it, a pretty nice venue. I think they've played twice in Brighton now.

I live in London, so I'm only 30 minutes away. I go to Brighton probably every month or so, especially in the summer.

You should definately try out London for gigs, the east end is great for indie nights.

I've been to Cargo and to Brixton Academy, but that's it, pretty sad huh? lived her for almost 2 years... I always tell myself I should go more often, but then I remember my bank account. (':

What kind of places would you recommend?

Brixton Academy is No.1 IMO, but the new scene is in East London. Look into, Death Disco (for weekly evenings - very very cheap nights), you've got City Showcase Festival (a 4 day festival in East London £5)which I'll be attending to, Camden Crawl (2 day festival in Camden - £70 or so , but it's totally worth it).

TBH you don't really need too much for a good night out, I guess it depends how much you drink etc..

Have you heard of KoKo's, Camden?

I had not, just googled it, and infadels and metric are playing there soon. Hmmmm, I might see if my housemates are up for it. Not doing Camden Crawl this year, but it sounds like so much fun! I might go next. Have you been there then? And have you ever been to the electric ballroom? alot of bands seem to play there.

Camden crawl owns! I've been twice now and met so many cool people, same thing for the City Showcase festival. There's not many festivals out there which do not get your feet muddy.

I've been meaning to go to The Electric Ballroom, but I have not got around to it yet.

Seriously, put some money aside and have a good time in London this summer, it's going to be a great one.

Any good events happening in Brighton this summer? Brightonion's are a hellova lot of fun!
